You can put one rail on each side of your bed. Please note though that the bed rail is designed simply to help you get in and out of bed safely, without assistance. It is not meant to prevent you from rolling off while you are in bed.

Quite simple. The easiest way is to unbuckle the rail (if you bother with the strap in the first place) and pull the rail out of the way. Slide it back in after the sheets are changed and rebuckle to the strap if desired. I've found the rail doesn't move without the strap so we don't use it anymore. Even if you leave the rail in place it's no harder than tucking the sheets in at the headboard or footboard.
